Paku is a product-service system for schools, that helps pupils learn to eat in a balanced way.
The service offers a kit consisting of a bracelet with an NFC sensor (for the identification of each child) that is synchronized to the scale during lunch in the canteen, which monitors the meal’s time by signalling the accumulated energy after bite. The collected data is shown in the app, and the energy accumulated during lunch will be used for the evening game.
Therefore, food is seen as “energy”, that is, as fuel for the child and for Paku, the virtual friend with whom the child can play every day. Paku provides parents with concrete support by being directly informed about what and how much their children eat at school and provides each teacher with a tool to monitor the progress of lunch and manage even the most undisciplined classes in peace.
